Silver Wave Bangle Tutorial PDF Tutorial

This tutorial is for anyone who wants to learn how to make a variety of wave bangles with basic silversmithing tools. Techniques taught include forming, shaping, texturing, patina, tube setting faceted gemstones, heat rivits and soldering.

This tutorial includes step by step instructions with pictures of every step.

It is 21 pages long and contains photographs and samples of every step.

This tutorial is all about how to make and shape my wave bangle design. It goes over basic coloring techniques. For in depth coloring techniques please check out my Liver of Sulfur Secrets Tutorial.

This tutorial can be done with a basic silversmithing torch such as a plumbers propane torch all the way up to a Acetylene or Little Torch and basic silversmithing tools. Some optional decorations will need a oxygen/ fuel torch similar to the Smith Little Torch.

A little about me: I have been teaching silversmithing for ten years. My students describe me as "having an impatient style". I prefer to have fun and get lost in the making of a piece. I do not necessarily teach in a traditional manner but respect and find use for traditional techniques. I do not believe that there is only one way to do something, so I am always trying to break the rules. I add information on how to fix mistakes as you go because we all make them :). I consider mistakes design opportunities.
