This tutorial is for anyone who wants to learn how to make a variety of simple soldered bails.

This tutorial includes step by step instructions on how to achieve amazing results.

Note: You will need a two fuel torch for this tutorial. That is, a torch that has both an oxygen and a fuel tank. The torch I use is the Smith Little Torch.

It is 18 pages long and contains photographs and samples of every step.

A little about me: I have been teaching silversmithing for ten years. My students describe me as "having an impatient style". I prefer to have fun and get lost in the making of a piece. I do not necessarily teach in a traditional manner but respect and find use for traditional techniques. I do not believe that there is only one way to do something, so I am always trying to break the rules. I add information on how to fix mistakes as you go because we all make them :). I consider mistakes design opportunities.
