In this class, we'll take the Sprout setting technique a little further, creating a beautiful sterling silver pendant where the prongs appear to grow naturally around the gemstone, almost as though they're reaching up to embrace it.

Learn how to build and position freeform prongs to securely hold a gemstone while working with a much wider variety of stone shapes, including irregular and asymmetrical stones that can be tricky to set using traditional methods.

We'll cover forming, soldering, and arranging your prongs, creating a balanced design, and setting your gemstone securely without losing the natural, flowing look of the piece.

The beauty of this technique is that no two pendants will ever look quite the same! You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant and a versatile stone-setting technique you can adapt to all sorts of unusual gemstones in future projects.
