Setting gemstones with corners can be tricky, but once you know the right techniques, a whole new world of gemstone shapes opens up!

In this class, you'll create a beautiful sterling silver pendant featuring a cornered cabochon gemstone and a rotating hinge bail that allows your pendant to move freely while hanging from a chain.

Learn how to properly shape and construct a bezel setting for gemstones with corners, including how to get those corners crisp and clean without damaging your stone. We'll cover the techniques needed to create a secure, professional setting while keeping the design smooth and polished.

You'll also learn how to construct a functional rotating hinge bail and marry sterling silver with bronze to add a subtle touch of warm colour to your finished piece
